learn to fly
The Learn To Fly program is the first step to the competition team, designed to build all mountain
skiing & snowboarding skills, comradeship and a love for the sport. LTF focuses on improving participant’s
technique and comfort level on all types of terrain, and in all snow
conditions. Collectively, the Full Time and Weekend Teams comprise
the Competition wing of Team Falcons, while Learn to Fly is the developmental
wing of Team Falcons.

Learn To Fly
Offered: One day per week, Saturday OR Sunday option
Ages: 7 - 12
Height: 48" Minimum at time of registration
Uniforms: Required
Helmets: Helmets are required
during training, competitions and when skiing in uniform. (not included)
Skill Level: Applicant must
be able to load and unload chair with out assistance, ride lift with out an adult, and must be able to ski
or board intermediate trails (eg: Kit Carson) with poles, non stop.
Program Includes:
• Mt. Rose Value Pass
• One day per week training (Sat
or Sun)
• Christmas Holiday training camp (Jan.
1 - 4)
• Fun Race Series/ BBQ events
Schedule (program start date Dec. 8/9)
8:30 - 11:30 On Mountain
9:00 - 11:30 (if program meets at the Main Lodge )
11:30 - 12:30 Lunch*
12:30 - 3:30 On Mountain
If you are late: Please check in w/ a Falcons coach at the meeting site.
*Lunch is unsupervised - Falcons are expected to behave & act responsibly.
Pack a lunch or be prepared to purchase.
